Evaluating Some of the Lesser Known Popular Brands of Electric Guitars
Everyone knows about world renowned brands like Gibson and Fender. The question when looking for economically priced used guitars for sale, however, is this: what other alternatives are there, and could you get equally high quality even at a slightly lower cost?
Epiphone is a perfect example of a brand of electric guitars that, even though it used to be known extremely well in the 1960s, has faded into the background today, when it comes to public appeal. This, however, only happened when comparing Epiphone with the most well-known brands, and the company is still extremely well-respected among experts. In fact, today it’s considered to be one of the best and most notable providers of affordable, high class electric guitars.
Although somewhat on the more expensive side, PRS is right up there with the best brands. PRS has made an incredible impact on the music industry, being promoted by famous names like Carlos Santana, Dave Navarro and Ted Nugent.
Jackson guitars may not be as well-known as PRS, but they are still ranked in the top 10 best guitar brands out there. Jackson was founded by Grover Jackson and Wayne Charvel in the 1970s, when they quickly rose to popularity by designing guitars for heavy metal artists. Their most famous client was Ozzy Osborne, who contacted the company in 1980 for a special order that would make music history later on.
